Sandiaga Uno Regretfully KPU Canceled Facilitation for Submission of Vision and Mission

Candidate for Vice President (Vice President) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno regretted the decision of the General Election Commission (KPU) which failed to facilitate the delivery of the presidential and vice-presidential vision and mission. According to him, the delivery of important visions and missions is done so that the whole community can know firsthand the vision and mission of the presidential candidates.
"Let alone our visions as challengers, they don't understand the incumbent's vision and mission," Sandiaga said in Jakarta on Sunday.
Sandiaga considers the vision and mission conveyed by himself and presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto to not reach the wider community. Even though he has visited a thousand points now, Sandiaga claims there are still many rural people who do not know him and his vision and mission.
"If we want to educate a political process for the future constellation to be more enlightening, the KPU should facilitate it," he said.
However, Sandiaga still respected the decision made by the KPU. The former deputy governor of DKI Jakarta appreciated each of the decisions the KPU had decided.
Previously, KPU Chairman Arief Budiman said that the socialization of the vision and mission of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the 2019 Election was decided not to be facilitated by the KPU. The implementation is submitted to each candidate pair.
"Last night's vision and mission socialization has also been decided, please do it individually. Their place and time are determined by themselves, so it is no longer facilitated by the KPU," Arief said on the sidelines of the presidential-debate debate panelist in Thamrin, Menteng, Jakarta Center, Saturday (1/5).
The implementation of the vision and mission socialization which is planned to be held on January 9, 2019 was finally handed over to each campaign team. Both the Indonesian Coalition National Campaign Team (TKN) Working Jokowi-Ma'ruf and the National Winning Body (BPN) Prabowo-Sandi can determine for themselves how many times the socialization was carried out and whether or not the presidential and vice presidential candidates participated in the socialization.
"It's up to them (the time of implementation). They want to make it once, they want to make it twice, we leave it entirely to them," explained Arief.
